Sharing Successes

Various dissemination methods and vehicles may be used to share the successes of oral health programs. Rural oral health programs disseminate project findings and lessons learned at the local, state, and national level in order to reach as many people as possible. For an overview of common strategies, see the Dissemination module in the Rural Community Health Toolkit.

When sharing successes, it is important to highlight the following:

  • Effectiveness of the program
  • Acceptability in the community
  • Sustainability
  • Program mission

To share results, rural oral health programs should:

  • Identify their intended audience
  • Establish strategic partnerships
  • Develop messages that highlight key aspects of their program
  • Select communication and dissemination mediums

For more information about sharing successes, please visit the Dissemination page of RHIhub's Community Health Gateway.
