Epidemiology Program for American Indian/Alaska Native Tribes and Urban Indian Communities
Funding for Tribal Epidemiology Centers (TECs) serving American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) tribes and Urban Indian communities. TECs will conduct disease surveillance, research, and prevention; control of disease, injury, or disability; and assess the effectiveness of AI/AN public health programs.

Minnesota Private Well Protection Grant
Funding for private well outreach, education, and testing to ensure safe drinking water for private well users in Minnesota.

Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities Grants
Grants for hazard mitigation activities to build capacity of state and local governments, tribes, and territories to help them to identify mitigation actions and implement projects that reduce risks posed by natural hazards. Priority is given for projects that benefit specific communities, including rural areas. Funding is specifically set aside for resilient infrastructure projects for tribal communities.

Maine AHEC Scholars Program
A 2-year multidisciplinary certificate and honors distinction program for health professions students in Maine that offers opportunities for hands-on training, experience in rural and healthcare shortage communities, and networking with other students and professionals.

Promise Neighborhoods Program
Grants to support improvement in the educational and developmental outcomes of children and youth in the most distressed communities. Projects should work to ensure school readiness, high school graduation, and access to a community-based continuum of high quality services.

Rural Collaborative Opportunities for Occupational Learning in Health (R-COOL-Health) Scrubs Camp
Funding for organizations to provide creative and interactive day-camp activities for students in grades 5-12 designed to increase awareness, interest, and understanding of healthcare careers available in rural North Dakota.

Public Transportation on Indian Reservations Program: Tribal Transit Program
Funding to support planning, capital, and operating assistance for tribal public transit services in rural areas. Among other things, this funding supports partnerships working to expand access to health, medical, and social service providers.

Oregon Rural Health Excellence Award
Awards that recognize rural hospitals, clinics, local public health departments, EMS agencies, and community-based organizations that demonstrate exceptional dedication to health outcomes in their communities in Oregon.

Rural Physician Associate Program
A 9-month, community-based educational experience for third-year medical students at the University of Minnesota that allows them to live and train in rural communities across Minnesota and western Wisconsin.

Arizona AHEC Scholars Program
A multidisciplinary certificate program for certain health professions students in Arizona that offers opportunities for hands-on training, experience in rural and healthcare shortage communities, and networking with other students and professionals.
