HERO: Helping EMS in Rural Oregon
Grants to rural and remote EMS agencies in Oregon to cover in-house training costs or to send staff to training that cannot be offered locally.

Maine Cancer Screening Grants
Grants for evidence-based interventions to increase the number of and/or improve the quality of cancer screening in Maine. Screenings include those for breast, cervical, colorectal, lung, prostate, and skin cancer. Rural populations are a priority.

Kansas Healthworks Health Care Scholarship
Healthcare scholarships for individuals currently enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited Kansas school in a healthcare field. Preference will be given to current hospital employees, particularly those working in a hospital that is licensed for 25 or fewer acute beds.

Medicine Pathways for Advancing Tribal Healthcare (M-PATH)
A year-long educational program designed to engage and support college students interested in pursuing a career as a physician caring for Indigenous and rural communities. The program includes quarterly virtual group meetings, individual meetings with faculty sponsors and mentors, and a 3-week on-site summer program in Boston at the Brigham and Women's Hospital.

Dr. Ric Bothwell Awards in American Indian and Alaska Native Men's Health
Awards for students and early career researchers who focus on the physical and mental health of American Indian and Alaska Native boys and men and the need to address challenges that hinder their ability to fulfill roles as fathers, husbands, providers, leaders, and contributors to their communities.

Excellence in Regional Transportation Award Program
Honorary awards that recognize noteworthy transportation projects and practices in rural, small metropolitan, and larger areas.

The American Indian College Fund Full Circle Scholarships
Scholarships for American Indian and Alaska Native students seeking certificate, undergraduate, and graduate studies at tribal colleges and universities and nonprofit, accredited schools in the United States.

Strategic Economic and Community Development Program
A program that allows USDA to give priority for projects that support the implementation of regional economic development plans through several USDA Rural Development funding programs.

Grace and Harold Sewell Memorial Fund Learning Partnerships
A 1-year fellowship that places a medical or health sciences librarian or information professional with a host organization that is involved in health sciences service delivery, research, or product development. Past learning partnerships have been conducted with rural organizations.

Wildfire Smoke Preparedness in Community Buildings
Funding for the assessment, prevention, control, and/or abatement of wildfire smoke hazards in community buildings. Grants are intended to support activities that will reduce indoor exposure to pollutants in wildfire smoke and, in turn, reduce the public health burden of wildfire smoke exposure. Applications will be accepted from rural, tribal, and urban communities.
