Medicare Promoting Interoperability Program Hardship Exception Application
CMS eligible hospitals and Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) may be exempted from the Medicare Promoting Interoperability payment adjustment if they can show that compliance with the requirement for being a meaningful EHR user would result in a significant hardship. Eligible hospitals and CAHs may submit a hardship exception application each year for a maximum of 5 years.

Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant (EMPA) Fellowship
An 18-month fellowship for physician assistants with Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Fellows will learn from board-certified emergency physicians and physician assistants at a Level II Trauma Center, rural emergency departments, and with ground and air emergency crews.

Grants for rural hospitals in Georgia to increase or expand access to healthcare, support recruitment and retention initiatives, reduce existing debt, or strengthen financial and operational foundation/reduce financial waste.

Sid W. Richardson Foundation Grants
Grants for nonprofit organizations in Texas that address education, health, human services, and arts/culture. Applications for health-related projects are accepted from throughout the state, including rural areas.

3RNET Recruiting for Retention Academy
Online educational opportunity to learn about tools and resources that can assist in recruiting qualified providers to rural and underserved areas.

Arkansas Life 360 HOMEs Program
Arkansas Department of Human Services will partner with eligible Medicaid hospitals to implement intensive care coordination for Medicaid clients most at risk of poor health outcomes.

California Teleconnect Fund
Telecommunication subsidy of 50% for eligible hospitals, health clinics, community-based organizations, and other entities.

Delta Region Community Health Systems Development Program Technical Assistance
Technical assistance for selected hospitals, clinics and their communities in the Delta Region to make in-depth health system enhancements.

HUD Section 242: Hospital Mortgage Insurance Program
Loan and mortgage insurance program to help acute care hospital facilities with remodeling, expansion, modernization, equipment, refinancing, and acquisition. Critical Access Hospitals are eligible to apply.

North Dakota Rural Healthcare Peer Exchange and Professional Development Program
Travel support for individuals or small groups from Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs), CAH-owned Rural Health Clinics, and rural emergency medicine service agencies to meet with similar entities from other areas of North Dakota and share information, ideas, and successful approaches to improving quality and access to healthcare services.
