Dissemination Methods
Rural programs should use different approaches to share evaluation results and best practices. The best dissemination method will depend on the intended audience. Common methods of dissemination for rural health promotion and disease prevention programs include:
- Case studies
- Issue briefs
- Manuscripts
- Newsletters
- Podcasts
- Policy briefs
- Social media, including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube
Meetings and Conferences
Rural programs can also share evaluation results and best practices at meetings and conferences. For example, many state and regional public health associations host annual meetings and conferences for sharing evidence-based and promising community and public health strategies.
Other examples of conferences include:
- American College of Preventive Medicine Conference
- American Public Health Association (APHA) Annual Meeting
- AHA Rural Health Care Leadership Conference
- National Rural Health Association events
