Out of Order, Out of Time: The State of the Nation's Health Workforce
Focuses attention on the need for a collaborative, coordinated, national health workforce planning initiative. Chapters 5 and 7 of the full report discuss socioeconomic trends and challenges including students' limited access to health professions education partly due to faculty shortages, and the importance of keeping pace with the increasing diversity of the U.S. population.
