Awards for organizations that are using the CMS Framework for Health Equity to advance health equity and reduce disparities in healthcare access, quality, and outcomes.

Hillman Emergent Innovation: Serious Illness and End of Life Program
Grants for early stage nursing-driven interventions that target serious illness and end of life needs faced by vulnerable populations, including economically disadvantaged, rural, and other populations that encounter barriers to accessing services.

VA VetResources Community Network (VRCN) Catalyst Award
Award that recognizes nonprofit veteran community-serving organizations for innovative solutions to reach and support underserved Veterans, their families, caregivers, and/or survivors. The top 10 nonprofit organizations/teams will each receive a monetary award to plan and implement community-based outreach event(s) or activation(s) to reach over 5,000 underserved veterans across 4 priority categories.

Rural Communities Opioid Response Program - Overdose Response
Grants to establish and/or expand substance use disorder (SUD) prevention, harm reduction, treatment, and recovery services in targeted rural service areas.

Maine Cancer Screening Grants
Grants for evidence-based interventions to increase the number of and/or improve the quality of cancer screening in Maine. Screenings include those for breast, cervical, colorectal, lung, prostate, and skin cancer. Rural populations are a priority.

American Psychiatric Association Diversity Leadership Fellowship
A 2-year fellowship for minority psychiatry residents or those interested in minority and vulnerable populations. Activities are designed to prepare residents to teach, administer, and provide culturally competent, evidence based mental health and substance abuse services for diverse minority groups and at-risk populations. Populations include American Indians, Native Alaskans, Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, Native Pacific Islanders, Black/African Americans, Hispanics/Latinos, LGBTQ, and religious minorities.

Minority Research Grant Program
Grants to to encourage innovative health services research that can directly contribute to the improvement of health outcomes for people from all minority populations, including people from rural communities.

PCORI Engagement Award: Capacity Building
Funds projects that encourage the integration of patients, caregivers, clinicians, and other stakeholders as members of the patient-centered clinical effectiveness research process.

PCORI Engagement Award: Dissemination Initiative
Funding to disseminate and communicate pertinent PCORI-funded research findings to relevant stakeholders in ways that will command their attention and interest and encourage use of information in their healthcare decision making.

PCORI Engagement Award: Stakeholder Convening Support
Funding for organizations and communities to hold multi-stakeholder convenings, meetings, and conferences.Convenings should focus on supporting collaboration around patient-centered outcomes research and clinical comparative effectiveness research.
