American Academy of Pediatrics Rural-Health Community of Practice
An educational community of practice designed to empower pediatric clinicians in rural areas to enhance the quality of care provided for infants and children with birth defects and infant disorders (BDID). As much as possible, the project will focus on congenital syphilis (CS) and congenital cytomegalovirus (cCMV).

MedServe North Carolina Fellowships in Primary Care Medicine
A 2-year, full-time, post-college community service fellowship in rural and other underserved community primary care sites in North Carolina.

WWAMI Region Target Rural Underserved Track
A curriculum and educational track offered by the University of Washington School of Medicine that assigns students to underserved rural and small city sites within the WWAMI region.

Rural Experiences for Health Professions Students in South Dakota Program
A program that places clinical psychology, master of social work, physician, physician assistant, medical laboratory science, nurse practitioner, pharmacy, nursing, physical and occupational therapy students from South Dakota in a 3 or 4-week experience with preceptors established in rural areas of South Dakota.

Virginia AHEC Scholars Program
A multidisciplinary certificate program for health professions students in Virginia that offers opportunities for hands-on training, experience in rural and underserved communities, and networking with other students and professionals.

Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training (BHWET) Program for Professionals
Grants to develop and expand experiential training opportunities, such as field placements and internships, to improve the distribution and supply of the behavioral health workforce. The program emphasizes relationships with community-based partners to increase access to quality behavioral health services in high need and high demand areas, such as rural communities.

Graduate Psychology Education Program
Grants to train doctoral health service psychology students, interns, and postdoctoral residents in integrated, interdisciplinary behavioral health. This includes opioid use and substance use in high-need underserved and rural populations.

Summer Health Professions Education Program
A free summer enrichment program designed to improve access to information and resources for college students interested in the health professions. Eligible students include those from a population that has been historically marginalized.

Hermes Monato, Jr. Rural Health Essay Prize
An annual award for a rural health essay written by a student or recent graduate of any campus of the University of Wisconsin.

Arkansas AHEC Scholars Program
