Economic Development Assistance Public Works and Economic Adjustment Assistance Programs
Funding to support the implementation of regional economic development, including public works projects and job creation projects. Past projects have included funding for water and wastewater projects in hospitals and healthcare facilities and road infrastructure projects that would support the expansion of healthcare facilities. Rural, tribal, and other underserved communities are a program priority.

Economic Impact Initiative Grants
Funding to assist in the development of essential community facilities in rural communities that have extreme unemployment and severe economic depression.

Economic Justice Partnership Fund
Loan funds for small and medium sized Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) that have difficulty accessing sufficient capital for larger transactions. Loans may be made for affordable housing and community facilities projects across the country with a focus on smaller CDFIs, minority-led borrowers, and projects in rural areas and on native lands.

Emergency Community Water Assistance Grants
Grants for eligible communities to prepare for or recover from an emergency that threatens the availability of safe, reliable drinking water.

Environmental Infrastructure Loans
Loans to finance water and waste facility projects in the rural West, including the early funds small rural communities need to determine project feasibility and to pay pre-development costs prior to receiving state and federal funding.

EPA Water and Wastewater Technical Assistance (TA)
Technical assistance to build community capacity, resolve compliance challenges, and address water infrastructure needs in large and small water systems in rural, tribal, urban, and suburban communities across the country. The overall goals of the TA program are: (1) more communities with applications for federal funding, (2) quality water infrastructure, and (3) reliable water services.
