The Oklahoma Family Practice Resident Rural Scholarship offers scholarship loans to residents enrolled in accredited family practice or family medicine residency programs located in Oklahoma who agree to practice in rural communities upon residency completion.
Applicants currently enrolled in an accredited Oklahoma family practice or family medicine program who have no other conflicting service obligation and are not currently on a J-1 Visa.
$1,000 per month.
One month of service in a rural community in Oklahoma is required per month of the scholarship, with no credit being granted for anything less than 12 months.
Recipients who do not complete the service requirement must repay the funds at the prime interest rate plus 1%.
