Module 1: Introduction to Maternal Health
This module provides an overview of maternal health and an introduction to the unique considerations and challenges facing rural communities. It provides important information needed for implementing a program to improve maternal health in rural communities.
Maternal health encompasses multiple life stages, dimensions of care, and topics. This toolkit focuses on a subset of topics particularly relevant in rural communities. Other existing toolkits that address maternal health topics include:
