Office on Violence Against Women Training and Technical Assistance Initiative Inactive
Grants to provide direct technical assistance for existing and potential grantees and sub-grantees to enhance and support their efforts to successfully implement projects supported by OVW grant funds. This initiative is designed to build and enhance the capacity of civil and criminal justice system professionals and victim service providers to respond effectively to sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking and foster partnerships among organizations that have not traditionally worked together to address these crimes. Rural communities are a program priority.

YouthBuild Grants Inactive
Grants to organizations providing pre-apprenticeship services that support education, occupational skills training, and employment services for youth, ages 16 to 24, while performing meaningful work and service to their communities. The YouthBuild program model contains wrap-around services such as transportation, childcare, and housing. Applications from rural, urban, and Native American communities have been funded in the past.

Community Health Impact Lab Micro Grants Program Inactive
Grants to support physician-led projects designed to improve health outcomes at the community level. The program funds innovative, community-centered projects that address a broad range of health-related challenges faced by populations with limited access to care.

Wyoming Childcare Provider Start-Up Grants Inactive
Funding intended to increase the number of childcare slots available for Wyoming families in high-need communities.

Sherwood Foundation Grants Inactive
Funding for nonprofit organizations in Nebraska working to improve quality of life. Past awards have been made across the state, including in rural areas.

HERO: Helping EMS in Rural Oregon Inactive
Grants to rural and remote EMS agencies in Oregon to cover in-house training costs or to send staff to training that cannot be offered locally.

North Carolina State Designated Rural Health Centers Support Grants Inactive
Funding for state-designated rural health centers in North Carolina to provide access to high quality, cost-effective primary medical care for underserved communities in the state.

National Community Care Corps Program Inactive
Funding to develop and scale innovative volunteer programs that provide nonmedical assistance to older adults, adults age 18 and older with disabilities, and family caregivers. The program intends to fund local models that represent a diverse cross section of the United States in terms of geography: urban, rural, frontier, and tribal communities.

Maine Cancer Screening Grants Inactive
Grants for evidence-based interventions to increase the number of and/or improve the quality of cancer screening in Maine. Screenings include those for breast, cervical, colorectal, lung, prostate, and skin cancer. Rural populations are a priority.

New York Volunteer Fire Infrastructure & Response Equipment Grant Program Inactive
Funding to volunteer fire departments and districts in New York for the construction, renovation, or purchase of critical facilities and to purchase fire service equipment that will upgrade and improve facilities and response capabilities. Priority consideration is given to rural applicants.
