Sherwood Foundation Grants
Funding for nonprofit organizations in Nebraska working to make Nebraska a more equitable place to live, work, learn, and play. Past awards have been made across the state, including in rural areas.

Whole Kids Foundation School Garden Grant Program
Grants to support new and existing edible gardens at K-12 schools and nonprofit organizations. Applications from rural and tribal communities are encouraged.

Connecting Kids to Coverage Healthy Kids Outreach and Enrollment Grants
Grants to organizations that help families with children and pregnant individuals enroll in health coverage opportunities, including Medicaid, CHIP, and insurance affordability programs. Rural and tribal communities are considered target populations.

Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Use, Site-Based Program
Grants to develop, implement, and/or expand comprehensive programs in response to the overdose crisis and the impact of illicit opioids, stimulants, or other substances. The program provides resources to support state, local, tribal, and territorial efforts to reduce substance misuse and overdose deaths, increase access to prevention services, enhance harm reduction initiatives, expand treatment and recovery services, and develop and increase other resources and supports in the community and justice system.

Gates Family Foundation Capital Grants
Capital support for building purchase, construction, expansion, renovation, and/or land acquisition for Colorado organizations working in the areas of arts and culture; education; well-being of children, youth, and families; parks and recreation; and community development.

Healthy Tomorrows Partnership for Children Program
Grants to support community-based projects that promote access to preventive clinical and public health services for children in rural and underserved communities.

AmeriCorps VISTA Sponsoring Agency Request for Concept Papers
A national service program that provides resources and staffing for organizations and agencies working to alleviate poverty and address poverty-related problems in local communities.

North Carolina Ribbon of Hope Grants
Funding to support activities that establish or expand local programs in health, science, and education that serve identified needs of local North Carolina communities. The goal of the program is to reach all counties in North Carolina.

Iowa Agricultural Injury Prevention Youth Grants
Grants for youth-led projects aimed at preventing injuries and deaths on Iowa farms by raising awareness about safety and health issues with farmers and other youth in their community.

Buell Foundation Grants
Grants for projects in Colorado in the areas of childhood education/development and teen pregnancy prevention. Priority is given to rural communities in the state.
