Program that engages adults age 55 and over to provide companionship and support to other adults in need of extra assistance to remain at home or in the community for as long as possible. Volunteers provide companionship to ease loneliness and social isolation, assisting with transportation and light chores, helping to serve as eyes and ears to professionals who can intervene in the case of medical or other deterioration on the part of the clients, and giving support to informal caregivers. Innovation Challenge to Prevent Human Trafficking Among Women and Girls Inactive
A national competition to identify existing innovative programs that address human trafficking prevention among women and girls in the United States. The goal of this competition is to identify and award existing programs that demonstrate effectiveness in preventing human trafficking and/or improving health outcomes related to human trafficking among women and girls, sustainable program practices, and the ability of the program to be expanded and/or replicated.
