PCORI Ambassador Program
A national volunteer network designed to engage the healthcare community in strengthening the patient-centered comparative clinical effectiveness research (CER) and increasing the dissemination of PCORI-funded​ research. PCORI supports research to give patients a better understanding of the prevention, treatment and care options available while considering potential for differences in treatment effectiveness among subpopulations, such as rural residents.

Thematic Working Groups in the North Central Region
Funding for multistate working groups focusing on creating resilient communities and economies, developing leadership and civic engagement, and promoting community health and wellness that integrates research and Extension.

WWAMI AHEC Scholars Program
A multidisciplinary certificate program for health professions students that offers opportunities for hands-on training, experience in rural and underserved communities, and networking with other students and professionals. The WWAMI Area Health Education Center Network serves Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho.

National Network of Libraries of Medicine Region 7 Grants Inactive
Funding for projects in Region 7 (northeastern U.S.) that improve health literacy; increase the ability of the general public to find and use health information; and improve health professionals' access to, awareness of, and skills for locating high quality biomedical and health information.

Ending California's Tobacco Epidemic in Every Community Inactive
Funding for projects that work toward ending California's tobacco epidemic through policy, system, and environmental change strategies by increasing community engagement within populations disproportionately impacted including rural residents.

Recreation Economy for Rural Communities Planning Assistance Inactive
A planning assistance process where an EPA team will help communities bring together local residents and other stakeholders to decide on strategies and an action plan to grow the local outdoor recreation economy.

American Hospital Association Dick Davidson NOVA Awards Inactive
Awards that recognize innovative hospital/health system collaborations working to improve community health status.

Senior Corps Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) Inactive
Funding to develop and support Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) projects for volunteers 55 years and older in serving specific local and community needs. Applications from rural communities are encouraged.

Maine Charity Foundation Fund Inactive
Grants for community-based transportation programs that provide transportation and/or delivery services to older people with limited or no access to transportation. Projects in rural areas are a priority.

Wisconsin Dental Association Foundation Annual Grant Program Inactive
