Grants for projects aimed at business development opportunities and creating employment for low-income individuals located in energy communities that have experienced employment loss and/or economic dislocation because of declines in the fossil fuel industry and/or are disproportionately reliant on fossil fuel energy production or distribution. Bonus points are given to projects that create jobs in rural and tribal communities.

Minnesota Section 5311 Rural Transit Program Inactive
Funding for capital, planning, and operations of transit systems in tribal and rural areas outside of the seven-county Twin Cities metropolitan areas.

Empower Rural Iowa Broadband Grant Program Inactive
Funding for broadband infrastructure projects that address the increased need for internet connectivity in unserved and underserved areas in Iowa.
