Lead Hazard Control and Health Homes Older Adults Home Modification Grant Program
Funding to make home modifications and limited repairs to meet the needs of low-income older adult homeowners. The overall program goal is enabling older adults to remain in their homes by reducing fall risk, improving general safety, increasing accessibility, and improving functional abilities in the home. At least one third of the funding is set aside for communities with substantial rural populations.

Continuum of Care (CoC) Builds
Funding to address and reduce the number of persons experiencing homelessness by adding new units of permanent supportive housing (PSH) through new construction, acquisition, or rehabilitation. Applications from rural and tribal communities are encouraged.

HUD Distressed Cities and Persistent Poverty Technical Assistance (DCTA) Program
Technical assistance to build capacity of local governments experiencing economic distress, specifically in smaller communities with populations under 50,000. Assistance will help local governments and their nonprofit partners in alleviating persistent poverty.

HUD Section 242: Hospital Mortgage Insurance Program
Loan and mortgage insurance program to help acute care hospital facilities with remodeling, expansion, modernization, equipment, refinancing, and acquisition. Critical Access Hospitals are eligible to apply.

Section 108 Loan Guarantee Program
Funding that provides communities with a source of financing for economic development, housing rehabilitation, public facilities, and physical development projects, including improvements to increase resilience against natural disasters.

Resident Opportunity and Self Sufficiency Service Coordinator Program Inactive
Grants to fund service coordinators to assist residents of public and Indian housing in making progress towards economic self-sufficiency, including the provision of job training, employment, adult education, housing, and health resources.

Pathways to Removing Obstacles to Housing (PRO Housing) Inactive
Grants to state and local governments to identify and remove barriers to affordable housing production and preservation to help meet the demand for accessible and available housing in urban, rural, and tribal communities.

Indian Housing Block Grant Program Inactive
Grants to develop, maintain, and operate affordable housing in safe and healthy environments on American Indian reservations and in other American Indian areas, and to carry out other affordable housing activities that benefit low-income families.

Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program Community Selection Inactive
As part of the Continuum of Care program, HUD will select up to 25 communities to participate in the Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program to develop and execute a coordinated community approach to preventing and ending youth homelessness. At least 8 of the selected communities will be rural. Applicants must be a collaborative registered through the most recent Continuum of Care Program.

Community Development Block Grant (ICDBG) Program for Indian Tribes and Alaska Native Villages Inactive
Grants for the development of Indian and Alaska Native communities, including housing, public service facilities, healthcare entities, and economic development projects.
