Funding to support graduate-level education for students in medical, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, and other eligible advanced practice nursing programs with a focus on treating opioid use disorders and prescribing medications for opioid use disorder in office-based settings upon graduation. Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Tribal Colleges and Universities, Hispanic-serving Institutions, and Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-serving Institutions are encouraged to apply.

Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment Program Inactive
Grants to implement screening, brief intervention, and referral to treatment services for children, adolescents, and adults in primary care and community health settings with a focus on screening for underage drinking, opioid use, and other substance use.

Grants to Expand Substance Abuse Treatment Capacity in Adult and Family Treatment Drug Courts Inactive
Grants to enhance and expand substance use disorder treatment services in existing drug courts, recognizing the need for treatment instead of incarceration for individuals with substance use disorders.

Rural Emergency Medical Services Training Grant Inactive
Grants to recruit and train emergency medical services personnel in rural areas with a focus on addressing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.

SAMHSA Minority Fellowship Inactive
A 1-year fellowship for psychiatry residents who are interested in addressing minority psychiatric mental health issues and committed to a career providing culturally sensitive psychiatric services for minority underserved populations. African Americans, Alaska Natives, American Indians, Asian-Americans, Hispanics/Latinos, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders are encouraged to apply.

Grants for Expansion and Sustainability of the Comprehensive Community Mental Health Services for Children with Serious Emotional Disturbances Inactive
Grants to improve the mental health outcomes for children and youth, birth through age 21, at risk for or with serious emotional disturbances (SED), and their families. Rural and tribal populations are priorities, among others.

Support for 988 Tribal Response Cooperative Agreements Inactive
Resources to improve response to 988 crisis contacts (including calls, chats, and texts) originating in tribal communities and/or activated by American Indians/Alaskan Natives.

Preventing Youth Overdose: Treatment, Recovery, Education, Awareness, and Training Inactive
Grants to increase services across the spectrum of prevention, treatment, and recovery for youth and young adults with, or at risk for, opioid use disorder and/or co-occurring disorders by supporting local efforts to raise awareness about fentanyl, improve access to treatment with medications, and to support youth with their treatment and recovery. Tribal and rural populations are a program priority.

Minority AIDS Initiative: The Substance Use and Human Immunodeficiency Virus Prevention Navigator Program for Racial/Ethnic Minorities Inactive
Funding to provide substance use and HIV prevention services for racial and ethnic minority populations at high-risk for substance use disorders (SUDs) and HIV infection. States with a substantial rural HIV burden are considered a program priority.

Behavioral Health Equity Challenge: Outreach and Engagement Strategies for Underserved Racial and Ethnic Communities Inactive
A challenge to identify and highlight community-based organization outreach and engagement strategies that increase access to behavioral health services for racial and ethnic underserved communities. Participants that focus on tribal and rural communities that experience health disparities are encouraged.
