Community Wildfire Defense Grants
Grants for at-risk local communities and tribes to plan for and mitigate the risk created by wildfires. Priority is given to projects located in areas identified as having a high or very high wildfire hazard potential; that benefit low-income communities; and/or serve communities impacted by a severe disaster within the previous 10 years.

Rural Business Development Grants
Supports targeted technical assistance, training, and other activities leading to the development or expansion of small and emerging private businesses in rural areas.

America's Healthy Food Financing Initiative Food Access and Retail Expansion (FARE) Fund Grants
Grant funding for projects related to food retail supply chain resiliency, access to healthy foods in underserved areas, employment, and low-income community revitalization.

Rural Decentralized Water Systems Grant Program
Grants for qualified nonprofit organizations and tribes to create a revolving loan fund to increase access to clean, reliable water and septic systems for households in eligible rural areas.

Distance Learning and Telemedicine Program Grants
Grants to help rural communities use advanced telecommunications technology to connect to each other (and the world) overcoming the effects of remoteness and low population density. Projects that promote equity and economic opportunity in rural America are encouraged.

Higher Education Challenge Grants Program
Grants to colleges and universities to strengthen institutional capacities, including curriculum, faculty, scientific instrumentation, instruction delivery systems, and student recruitment and retention. The overall program objective is to respond to identified state, regional, national, or international educational needs in the food and agricultural sciences, or in rural economic, community, and business development.

Youth Farm Safety Education and Certification
Grants to Cooperative Extension Services to support national efforts for delivering timely, pertinent, and appropriate farm safety education to youth seeking employment or who are already employed in agricultural production.

Hispanic-Serving Institutions Education Grants Program
Grants to promote and strengthen the ability of Hispanic-Serving Institutions to carry out higher education programs that attract, retain, and graduate outstanding students capable of enhancing the nation's food, agriculture, natural resources, and human sciences professional and scientific workforce.

Alaska Native-Serving and Native Hawaiian-Serving Institutions Education Competitive Grants Program
Grants to promote and strengthen the ability of Alaska Native-Serving Institutions and Native Hawaiian-Serving Institutions to carry out education, applied research, and related community development programs.

Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) Renewable Energy Systems and Energy Efficiency Improvements Grants and Guaranteed Loans
Financing and grant funding for agriculture producers and rural small businesses to purchase, install, and construct renewable energy systems or complete energy efficiency improvements. An example of a potential project may be the installation of solar panels for hospitals or clinics to improve energy costs.
