Innovative Mental Health Services Research Not Involving Clinical Trials (R01) Inactive
Funding for innovative research that will inform and support the delivery of high-quality, continuously improving mental health services to benefit individuals with, or at risk for developing, a mental illness. Research on innovative service delivery models that seek to reduce disparities in service access, quality, and outcomes for racial and ethnic minority groups, individuals limited by language or cultural barriers, sexual and gender minorities, individuals living in rural areas, socioeconomically disadvantaged persons, and other underserved groups is encouraged.

Grants to Support New Investigators in Conducting Research Related to Preventing Interpersonal Violence Impacting Children and Youth Inactive
Grants to develop new researchers in the field of violence prevention by providing intensive, supervised, research experiences related to violence/injury prevention for children and youth, especially those at higher risk for violence, including racial/ethnic minorities, people with disabilities, tribal populations, and sexual and gender minorities.

Teaching Health Center Planning and Development Program Inactive
Planning and development grants to establish new accredited or expanded community-based primary care residency programs in family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine-pediatrics, psychiatry, obstetrics and gynecology, general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and/or geriatrics. The program is designed to support the expansion of the primary care physician and dental workforce in rural and underserved communities.

Quality Improvement Fund - Maternal Health (QIF-MH) Inactive
Funding to improve maternal health and reduce racial and ethnic maternal health disparities by supporting health centers in developing and piloting innovative, patient-centered, scalable models of care delivery. Projects should address the clinical and health-related social needs of health center patients at highest risk of maternal morbidity and mortality. Priority populations are women of color and those in rural and underserved areas.

Community Partnerships to Advance Science for Society (ComPASS) Program: Community-Led, Health Equity Structural Intervention Initiative (OT2) Inactive
Funding for community organizations working in partnership with research organizations to develop, implement, assess, and disseminate health equity structural interventions designed to break the cycle of health disparities. Applications that focus on rural communities are encouraged.

Rural Health Network Development Program Inactive
Grants for healthcare networks in rural areas to address gaps in service, enhance systems of care, and expand capacity of the local healthcare system. The purpose of this program is to support rural integrated healthcare networks that have combined the functions of the entities participating in the network in order to achieve efficiencies; expand access to, coordinate, and improve the quality of essential healthcare services; and strengthen the rural healthcare system as a whole.

Preventive Medicine Residency Program Inactive
Grants to provide graduate medical education training to preventive medicine residents for the purpose of increasing the number and quality of preventive medicine residents and physicians to support access to preventive medicine and to improve the health of communities.

Primary Care Training and Enhancement - Residency Training in Mental and Behavioral Health (PCTE-RTMB) Inactive
Grants to train primary care residents in mental and behavioral health for pediatric, adolescent, young adult, and other populations who are at-risk or have experienced abuse, trauma, or mental health and/or substance use disorders, including those related to the effects of gun violence. Priority will be given to proposals to train residents in rural areas, including for tribes or tribal organizations in rural areas.

Small Rural Hospital Improvement Program (SHIP) Inactive
Provides funding to small rural hospitals, through their State Office of Rural Health, to help them do any or all of the following: purchase equipment or training to attain value-based payment and care goals; join Medicare Shared Savings Program or become an accountable care organization; and purchase health information technology, equipment, or training.
