Funding to advance health equity through strategic partnerships and community engagement by addressing disparities caused by menthol and other flavored tobacco product marketing and use. Applications from rural communities are encouraged.

Nurse Education, Practice, Quality and Retention Simulation Education Training Program Inactive
Funding to enhance nursing education and strengthen the nursing workforce through experiential learning opportunities, including the use of simulation-based technology. Funding should expand the capacity of nurses to advance the health of patients, families, and communities in rural or medically underserved areas.

Primary Care Training and Enhancement-Language and Disability Access (PCTE-LDA) Inactive
Grants to develop curricula and train medical students, physician assistant students, and primary care medical residents to provide high quality primary care services to individuals with limited English proficiency (LEP) and/or individuals with physical disabilities, and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) with goals of improving health outcomes for these populations. Priority will be given to applicants who can demonstrate that they train residents in rural areas and tribal communities.

Demonstration Grants to Strengthen the Response to Victims of Human Trafficking in Native Communities Program Inactive
Funding for demonstration projects that will build, expand, and sustain organizational and community capacity in Native American communities to deliver services to victims of severe forms of human trafficking.

Preventing Youth Overdose: Treatment, Recovery, Education, Awareness, and Training Inactive
Grants to increase services across the spectrum of prevention, treatment, and recovery for youth and young adults with, or at risk for, opioid use disorder and/or co-occurring disorders by supporting local efforts to raise awareness about fentanyl, improve access to treatment with medications, and to support youth with their treatment and recovery. Tribal and rural populations are a program priority.

Pediatric Mental Health Care Access Program Inactive
Funding to promote behavioral health integration in pediatric primary care by supporting the development of new, or the improvement of existing, statewide or regional pediatric mental healthcare telehealth access programs.

Minority AIDS Initiative: The Substance Use and Human Immunodeficiency Virus Prevention Navigator Program for Racial/Ethnic Minorities Inactive
Funding to provide substance use and HIV prevention services for racial and ethnic minority populations at high-risk for substance use disorders (SUDs) and HIV infection. States with a substantial rural HIV burden are considered a program priority.
