Grace and Harold Sewell Memorial Fund Learning Partnerships
A 1-year fellowship that places a medical or health sciences librarian or information professional with a host organization that is involved in health sciences service delivery, research, or product development. Past learning partnerships have been conducted with rural organizations.

Wildfire Smoke Preparedness in Community Buildings
Funding for the assessment, prevention, control, and/or abatement of wildfire smoke hazards in community buildings. Grants are intended to support activities that will reduce indoor exposure to pollutants in wildfire smoke and, in turn, reduce the public health burden of wildfire smoke exposure. Applications will be accepted from rural, tribal, and urban communities.

SBA Certified Development Company (504) Loan Program: Rural Initiative Pilot Program
Provides small businesses with long-term, fixed-rate financing for major fixed assets, such as land and buildings. 504 Loans are potential options for healthcare practitioners who want to build a new office or expand/renovate an existing medical building. The Rural Initiative Pilot Program waives some small business regulations in order to expand capital access to eligible rural areas.

Tribal Agriculture Fellowship (TAF)
Fellowships to help Native students achieve their educational goals leading to careers in agriculture.

AmeriCorps State and National Grants
Funding for programs that are designed to strengthen communities and solve local problems, including those found in rural and underserved areas. Funding priorities include serving historically underrepresented communities, services for veterans, access to youth mental health and substance use services, public safety, outdoor recreation, and support for families.

PCORI Engagement Award: Stakeholder Convening Support
Funding for organizations and communities to hold multi-stakeholder convenings, meetings, and conferences.Convenings should focus on supporting collaboration around patient-centered outcomes research and clinical comparative effectiveness research.

Supporting Coloradans in Recovery Through Non-Clinical Programs
Grants for culturally- and linguistically-responsive programs in Colorado that support individuals with mental health and/or substance use challenges in accessing non-clinical support services close to home.

AARP Community Challenge
Grants for projects that work to improve livability for all residents of a community. The 2026 application cycle will focus on public spaces, housing, transportation, digital connections, and disaster preparedness. Applications from rural communities are encouraged.
