Purpose

Kansas State University is offering a peer group designed for mutual support and knowledge exchange to foster a stronger, more connected rural grocery community in the Heartland Regional Food Business Center service area.

Peer groups will be made of up to 12 non-competing rural grocers. Each group will meet for one hour a month to ask each other questions, share advice, learn best practices, speak directly with industry experts, and motivate each other.

Eligibility

Eligible participants are owners and managers of independent rural grocery stores located in the Heartland Regional Food Business Center service area.

Geographic coverage
The Heartland Regional Food Business Center service area, which includes Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, northwest Arkansas
Amount of funding

There is no cost for selected participants.
