Purpose

NCMS is offering an 8 month, project-based leadership development program tailored for practicing physicians, PAs, medical residents, and healthcare administrators in North Carolina. The program focuses on enhancing leadership abilities by fostering meaningful connections, improving team dynamics, and driving change through individual initiatives. The upcoming session will focus on rural health, population health, and community health centers.

Learning Sessions:
(In-person sessions are held on Saturdays at NCMS Headquarters in Raleigh, NC with the exception of the NCMS White Coat Day. Virtual sessions are held on Thursdays from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.)

  • March 1, 2025: In-Person

  • May 7, 2025 (White Coat Day): In-Person
  • June 7, 2025: In-Person
  • July 17, 2025: Virtual
  • August 21, 2025: Virtual
  • September 13, 2025: In-Person
  • October 10- 11, 2025: LEAD Conference – In-Person
Eligibility

The program is designed for new or mid-career healthcare leaders (clinical or non-clinical) or medical residents who are seeking to:

  • Expand their networking opportunities, learn new things, and build relationships
  • Improve self-awareness and engagement with others by cultivating positive relationships and prioritizing connections, trust, and open communication
  • Understand their own personality traits and communication style, as well as those of others
  • Work on a meaningful healthcare issue that can impact their organization and/or their community
