Purpose

Grant funding for projects that work toward ending California's tobacco epidemic through policy, system, and environmental change strategies by increasing community engagement within populations disproportionately impacted including rural residents.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants must have 3 or more years of demonstrated agency experience in tobacco prevention work and be a public or private non-profit entity in California. Eligible entities include but are not limited to:

  • Local health departments
  • Hospitals
  • Community clinics
  • Voluntary health organizations
  • American Indian tribes
  • Health maintenance organizations
  • Professional health associations
  • Professional health education associations

$300,000 per year for up to 3 years.
