Purpose

The Site-Based Clinical Training (SBCT) Grant offers funding to support clinical healthcare training in Minnesota. Priorities include rural primary care and oral health.

Eligibility

Eligibility includes sites that:

  • Are enrolled in the Minnesota Health Care Program or is funded in part by sliding fee scale services
  • Faces increased financial pressure as a result of competition with nonteaching patient care entities
  • Emphasizes primary care or specialties that are in undersupply in rural or underserved areas
  • Host a clinical medical education program for advanced practice nurses if it meets all other requirements and is sponsored by the University of Minnesota Academic Health Center, the Mayo Foundation, or an institution that is part of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system or members of the Minnesota Private College Council

$5,550,000 is available for clinical training that occurred in fiscal year 2023.
