Purpose

The Maine Cancer Foundation Transportation and Lodging for Cancer Patients grant works to address health equity and access to cancer care through projects supporting transportation and lodging services for Maine cancer patients.

Areas of focus include:

  • Transportation services for patients to access cancer care
  • Lodging to increase access to care for cancer patients
  • Education and outreach about transportation services
  • Partnerships that serve to create system-wide solutions to address transportation barriers

Priority is given to proposals that address social determinants of health. Collaboration among Maine organizations is encouraged but not required.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants include 501(c)3 tax-exempt charitable organization, educational institutions, government entities, or other public, non-profit entities

Up to $30,000 per year for up to 2 years.
