Purpose

This opportunity provides funding to increase the diagnoses, treatment, and prevention of HIV, HCV, and syphilis in tribal communities. Successful applicants will work toward a reduction of new HIV infections and relevant co-morbidities, specifically syphilis and HCV infections; improve HIV/HCV/syphilis-related health outcomes; and reduce HIV/HCV/syphilis-related health disparities among American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) people.

Focus areas:

  • Non-traditional and new models of diagnosis, prevention, and care
  • Cross-departmental collaborations to address social determinants of health and enhance health equity for prevention, care, and treatment for people with HIV, HCV, and syphilis diagnoses
  • Use a syndemic approach to address racial and ethnic disparities in diagnosis, prevention, and care
