AHRQ TeamSTEPPS Training

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) is offering training opportunities designed to help healthcare teams enhance communication, manage challenges more collaboratively, and effectively implement TeamSTEPPS to improve patient care. TeamSTEPPS is an evidence-based set of teamwork tools, aimed at optimizing patient outcomes by improving communication and teamwork skills among healthcare teams, including patients and family caregivers.
Curriculum modules include:
- Communication
- Team leadership
- Situation monitoring
- Mutual support
- Implementation on TeamSTEPPS 3.0
The trainings are designed for healthcare teams, including patients and family caregivers.
AHRQ is particularly interested in rural health professional teams participating in the trainings.
For the TeamSTEPPS for Diagnosis Improvement Course and the TeamSTEPPS 3.0 Complete training, a minimum of 3 members of the organization must participate in the same training.
The virtual training opportunity is offered at no charge. There is an option to earn 8 CEU credits for a fee.
