Purpose

The Health Resources and Service Administration provides assistance for approved facilities in recruiting and retaining qualified pediatric specialty professionals. After site activation, clinicians at the facility can apply to the Pediatric Specialty Loan Repayment Program.

Eligibility

Sites must meet one of the following criteria to be eligible:

  • Located in a health professional shortage area (HPSA) or medically underserved area (MUA), or serves a medically underserved population (MUP)
  • Operates as outpatient or inpatient facilities, providing primary medical, dental, and/or mental and behavioral health services
Geographic coverage
Nationwide
Amount of funding

There is no cost for the assistance provided.

Application process

Follow the steps for site activation listed on the program website. Activate online through the program portal.
