The Rural Youth Services Enhanced (RYSE) Program provides funding to increase access to mental health and social services for youth who are involved or at-risk of being involved in the juvenile justice system in 5 rural counties in Illinois.
Funds may be used for 1 or more of the following strategies to increase mental health services by providing:
- Mental health and social services directly to youth and their families
- Linkages to existing mental health and social services
- Technology to help youth and their families to participate in telehealth and virtual services
- Transportation services to youth and their families to attend mental and social service appointments
Eligible applicants are units of local government or nonprofit community-based organizations in Illinois. Services must target youth and families in at least 1 of the following counties: Alexander, Hardin, Pulaski, Gallatin, and Saline.
