Purpose

The Federal Office of Rural Health Policy is offering funding for a single entity to provide data support to rural maternal healthcare networks to assist efforts to improve maternal health care at the community, regional, and national levels.

Program goals:

  • Increase capacity of rural maternal healthcare networks to:
    • Collect and report data related to maternal health, obstetrics, and post-birth outcomes including infant health
    • Use data to assess performance and identify promising practices in implementing sustainable models designed to improve healthcare during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period
  • Enhance public awareness and understanding through data analysis and dissemination of findings of:
    • The unique considerations associated with delivering prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum services to rural areas
    • Opportunities for improving rural maternal healthcare
Eligibility

Eligible applicants include all domestic public, private, nonprofit, and for-profit organizations in the U.S. and territories. This includes native American tribal governments and tribal organizations.
