Purpose

This program provides funding to local nonprofit organizations in North Dakota focused on the following areas:

  • Basic needs: grants for short-term assistance through food shelves and outreach programs, cash or vouchers, auto repair, refugee resettlement, transitional housing, and homeless shelters
  • Community asset building: investments for small business development, diversity initiatives, community planning, long-term housing programs, transportation, literacy, and adult education
  • Health and wellbeing: grants for medical, dental, vision services, and wellness programs for families, elderly adults, particularly those in rural communities; parenting programs, physical and mental health, youth support and enrichment, post-secondary education, and job skills
  • Restorative and responsive services: grants for efforts to stability to individuals and families facing crisis and disruption, including domestic violence and sexual assault prevention and recovery, disaster response, economic stabilization, navigating the judicial and legal system
Eligibility

Eligible applicants are 501(c)3 nonprofits in North Dakota that provide direct service to address immediate needs within their communities.
