South Dakota Tobacco Youth & Community Engagement Grant

This program supports local tobacco prevention and control efforts, promotes the implementation of the South Dakota Tobacco Control State Plan, and encourages collaboration to reduce the impact of tobacco use. The focus is on community-level actions to engage youth and young adults in tobacco prevention and cessation activities, including e-cigarettes.
Eligible applicants are local government and nonprofit community-based organizations, coalitions, and groups that support the mission of the South Dakota Tobacco Control Program.
Examples include, but are not limited to:
- Youth groups
- Schools
- Post-secondary institutions
- Civic associations
- Service clubs
- Healthcare organizations
- Faith-based organizations
- Parent groups
- Neighborhood associations
- Local community coalitions
Award ceiling: $25,000
Award floor: $5,000
Project period: 1 year
