USDA Rural Hospital Technical Assistance

Through the USDA Rural Hospital Technical Assistance, the National Rural Health Association (NRHA) will work with contractors and partners to provide technical assistance for rural hospitals to identify and address healthcare needs and strengthen local healthcare systems. The overall goal of the program is to enhance hospital systems for improved efficiency and financial performance, bolster quality of care, and support communities.
Potential technical assistance goals may include:
- Improving financial position and increasing operational efficiencies
- Implementing quality improvements that support an evidenced-based culture for improved health outcomes
- Increasing use of telehealth to fill service gaps and improve access to care
- Strengthening the local healthcare delivery system to position for population health
- Providing hospital board training through NRHA's certification programs
Hospitals in rural communities are eligible to apply.
This is a technical assistance opportunity.
