Purpose

This program offers funding to provide training and technical assistance for rural communities, tribes, and nonprofit organizations to identify and plan for community facility repairs as a result of damages resulting from presidentially declared disasters in Fiscal Year 2022. Once needs have been identified, the awardee can assist in identifying public and private resources to finance those identified community facility needs.

Eligibility

Both technical assistance providers and ultimate recipients must be:

  • Public bodies
  • Nonprofit corporations
  • Federally recognized tribes
  • Tribes located on federal and state reservations

Award ceiling: $250,000 for technical assistance providers and $50,000 for ultimate recipients
Project period: Up to 3 years
Estimated number of awards: 15
Estimated total program funding: $2,500,000
