California Last Mile Broadband Infrastructure Grants

The California Public Utilities Commission is offering Grants for last-mile broadband infrastructure projects to connect unserved Californians with high-speed broadband services. Projects must provide minimum 100 Mbps download and upload.
Eligible applicants include:
- Facilities-based broadband providers
- Local government agencies
- Electric utilities
- Nonprofit organizations
- Entities with a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN)
- Cooperatives
- California tribes (including wholly-owned tribal corporations and nonprofit organizations)
Estimated total program funding: $2,000,000,000
$1,000,000,000 is set aside for rural counties.
