Purpose

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency will provide grants for environmental justice communities in Minnesota for planning and design projects to replace aging and obsolete infrastructure.

Resulting construction projects will increase resilience of stormwater systems, minimize localized flood risk, and reduce clean water intrusion into wastewater systems.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants include:

  • A city, town, borough, county, parish, district, association, or other public body created by or pursuant to state law and having jurisdiction over disposal of sewage, industrial wastes, or other wastes
  • A tribe or an authorized tribal organization
  • A designated and approved management agency

Projects must take place in an environmental justice area of concern in Minnesota.
