The Alaska Rural Professional Housing Grant Program (RPH) provides funding for the rehabilitation, construction, and acquisition of housing projects that benefit health professionals, teachers, and public safety personnel in rural Alaska.
Applicants are encouraged to layer grant funds with funding from other state or federal programs, collaborate with other community organizations to maximize contributions, and/or leverage long term debt to assist in the development. During the underwriting process, AHFC will analyze potential grantee debt capacity to determine the appropriate gap for RPH funding.
Eligible applicants include school districts, local governments, regional health corporations, housing authorities, and nonprofit organizations.
Up to $700,000 for approved, financially feasible projects
A link to the application instructions is available on the program website.
Applicants are required to email a registration form to Reagan Mattingly by August 14, 2024. There will be a mandatory applicant training that is tentatively scheduled for September 12, 2024. Following successful registration and attendance of the mandatory applicant training, applicants will submit a complete application through an online application tool by October 25th, 2024.
