Changing Aging Grants

The NextFifty Initiative provides grants for systems-level and programmatic innovations to change aging. Grants will support a wide range of initiatives including research, start-ups, pilot projects, direct services, and policy.
Projects should support older adults through their work in one or more priority areas:
- Ending ageism
- Advancing digital equity
- Supporting aging in place
Applications will be evaluated on:
- Connection to marginalized older adults
- Commitment to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion
- Alignment to the Foundation's priority areas
- Innovation
- Partnerships
- Need
Eligible applicants include governmental entities; institutions of higher education; nonprofit entities organized under sections 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), and 501(c)(6) of the IRS code; and nonprofit entities with an eligible fiscal sponsor.
Projects must intentionally focus on the aging or the aging-disabled population age 50 and over and/or the caregivers of these populations.
Grant requests are not limited. Organizations planning to request $150,000 or more are required to schedule a phone call with a program officer before submitting an application.
The project period is 1-3 years.
