The Housing Assistance Council OneRural Program will provide Individualized technical assistance, training, and access to resources designed to build the capacity of housing/community development organizations working in rural communities.
Preference will be given to federally designated disaster communities and entities that serve communities determined to be:
- Rural with a population of less than 10,000 and an Area Median Income (AMI) at or below 70% of the national AMI
- Federally designated disaster communities
- Organizations with at least one full-time staff person
- Socially vulnerable
- Economically at-risk
- Distressed energy (fossil fuel dependent) communities
Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, public bodies, and tribal entities that have at least 1 staff person and a demonstrated interest in increasing organizational capacity.
Applicants must be located in a rural community with a population less than 10,000 and median Income at or below 70% of the Area Median Income.
Assistance is provided at no cost.

Submit the initial application by June 14, 2024. Selected applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal, with a deadline of June 28, 2024.
