Purpose

The American College of Lifestyle Medicine will provide a scholarship for clinicians who are underrepresented in medicine to assist with the costs associated with attaining education and certification in lifestyle medicine.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants include physicians, professionals, and practitioners who:

  • Are eligible to become certified
  • Self identify as a member of a racial or ethnic group historically underrepresented in medicine (URM) as defined by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), including Black or African American; Hispanic, Latino, or of Spanish origin; American Indian or Alaska native; or native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander
  • Is currently practicing within the United States

Amount of funding

Funding will support full (100%) scholarships based on need and funding availability to cover certification expenses, which include:

  • One-year ACLM membership
  • LM2025 online conference registration
  • Foundations of Lifestyle Medicine Board Review Course
  • ABLM exam registration and certification fees
