Hospitals in rural communities are encouraged to participate.
The collaborative will promote improvements in:
- Staffing and education

- Quality improvement and metrics
- Optimal preparation of the environment
Hospitals in New York are eligible to apply.
There are no fees to participate in the collaborative or apply for initial Level 3 (Bronze) accreditation.
Scholarships to support the Geriatric Emergency Department Accreditation teams are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once 18 teams new to accreditation have enrolled, funds will be exhausted.
