The Idaho Children's Trust Fund provides grants for projects designed to prevent child abuse and neglect within Idaho.
Funding considerations include:
- Shifting the focus from targeting family risks and deficits to building family strengths and resiliency
- Embedding effective prevention strategies into parenting and early care and education programs to strengthen and support parents and families
- Intentionally addressing neglect and the factors most frequently identified with it: history of trauma, poverty, maternal depression, substance abuse, and devaluing challenges of child rearing
- Targeting underserved populations to increase community support and reduce the negative effects of social isolation (populations include rural communities, homeless families, and communities of color)
Eligible applicants include public and private nonprofit and faith-based organizations, government agencies, and qualified individuals who provide community based educational and service programs designed to reduce or prevent child abuse and neglect in Idaho.
Grants range between $1,000 - $10,000.
