The Virginia State Office of Rural Health provides grants for innovative programming to address the root causes of rural health disparities in Virginia.
Current focus areas include:
- Healthy mothers and babies
- Food access and nutrition
- Workforce development
- Behavioral health
- Telehealth
Priority will be given to applicants who propose to implement innovative programming targeted at 1 or more of the focus areas, demonstrate a need for the funding, have a clear plan for using the funding, and can articulate the anticipated impact of the funding if received.
Award ceiling: $20,000
Award floor: $1,000
Project period: 1 year
