The Illinois Rural Health Fellowship is an 6-month rural health leadership development program for executives and prospective executives from Critical Access Hospitals, rural hospitals, and other rural health organizations in Illinois. The program is designed to give participants an understanding of what sets rural healthcare apart from urban, and what rural leaders are called to do in their positions.
The fellowship will focus on 4 pillars:
- Rural health
- Operations
- Finance
- Healthcare leadership
The Fellowship includes:
- A collaborative learning curriculum, including in-person sessions and interactive Zoom sessions that meet twice monthly, beginning October 2024 in Springfield, Illinois
- Pairing with an experienced rural health mentor
- Implementing a rural healthcare project and presenting it at the conclusion of the Fellowship
Eligible participants include new c-suite and c-suite track individuals from Critical Access Hospitals, rural hospitals, and other rural health organizations in Illinois.
The participation cost is $2,500. Scholarships may be available to help cover the registration costs.
20 participants will be selected.
