Delta Dental of Colorado provides funding to nonprofits working to meet the oral health needs of Colorado communities through programs and activities to improve the long-term oral health of Colorado residents and address the oral health of populations experiencing disparities due to race/ethnicity, geography, socio-economic status, or age.
Focus areas include:
- Placed-based access to care: community-led efforts to ensure access to affordable and comprehensive oral healthcare for all residents in identified place-based regions, including several rural counties in the San Luis Valley region
- Prevention: Effective and innovative programs to increase the number of children age 6 and under, mothers, and pregnant individuals who receive preventive oral health services in easy-to-access settings
Eligible applicants include:
- Colorado organizations classified as tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4)
- Publicly funded Colorado organizations including state or local governments
- New or emerging organizations without 501(c)(3) status that apply through a tax-exempt organization acting as fiscal sponsor
Award ceiling: $75,000
Project period: 1 year
Funding requests are limited to no more than 10% of an organization's total fiscal year budget.
