Purpose

The Kansas EMS Education Incentive Grant Program provides funding for licensed ambulance services in rural, frontier, and densely settled rural areas of Kansas to help with recruiting, training, and certifying ambulance EMS providers.

Funding priorities include:

  1. Applications seeking grants to pay the cost of recruiting EMS providers and the cost of the initial courses of training for EMS providers
  2. Applications seeking grants to pay the cost of continuing education for EMS providers
  3. Applications seeking grants to pay the cost of education for EMS providers who are obtaining a post-secondary education degree
Eligibility

EMS services located in frontier, rural, or densely settled rural counties or cities are eligible to apply.

Submit the application and Memorandum of Agreement no earlier than 30 days prior to the first day of class.

All applications will be accepted, but only services located in frontier or rural counties are eligible for funding in the first 3 months of each grant cycle. (July 1 through September 30 and January 1 through March 31).
