Farm and Ranch Stress Assistance Network (FRSAN) Program provides grants to initiate, expand, or sustain programs that provide behavioral health counseling, referral, and other forms of assistance for agricultural workers in crisis.
The program intends to create regional frameworks for stress assistance programs, training, and services that connects individuals who are engaged in farming, ranching, and other agriculture-related occupations to stress assistance programs, including:
- Farm telephone helplines and websites
- Training programs and workshops for:
- Advocates for individuals who are engaged in farming, ranching, and other occupations relating to agriculture
- Other individuals and entities that may assist people who are engaged in farming, ranching, and other occupations relating to agriculture who are in crisis
- Other activities, including the dissemination of information and materials
Eligible applicants are collaborative state, tribal, local, and regionally-based networks or partnerships of qualified public and/or private entities.
One award will be made in each region as described in the application instructions.
