Oklahoma Physician Assistant Loan Repayment Program

The Oklahoma Physician Assistant Loan Repayment Program provides loan repayment assistance for primary care physician assistants who agree to serve at approved sites in rural and underserved areas of Oklahoma, with a special emphasis on providing care for Medicaid and Medicare recipients.
Eligible applicants are primary care physician assistants licensed to practice in Oklahoma and not currently practicing in a rural community.
Eligible primary care professions include family medicine, geriatrics, general internal medicine, general pediatrics, obstetrics/gynecology, and emergency medicine.
Physicians must agree to practice medicine at the contracted medical facility. The service obligation is year to year, with a maximum of 3 years.
Year 1: Up to $10,000
Year 2: Up to $20,000
Year 3: Up to $30,000
Exact award amounts are based on the total of educational loans to be repaid and community match.
